I had the pleasure to speak with Shanikqa N. Canty & Loretta M. White on their novel collaboration Business Or Love release date is November, 11, 2015. These talented women made their acquitenance in the Facebook group Be An Author hosted by Nikki Woods. The ladies discuss their colloration of Business or Love, the inspiration that birthed the project, and tips about writing.
Novel Excerpt from Business Or Love:
Porsha is a middle-aged Business woman that started her journey directly out of H.S. at the age of 17. She struggled mentally her entire adult life, not realizing that her 10 year Military career could have caused her so much trauma. After 2 marriages and 2 divorces, she starts to wonder if her Military career only prepared her for Independence in business and not properly prepare her for a stable relationship with men. As Porsha searches for answers, she meets a very young H.S. Senior on social media, searching to make career and life time changes and goals. At a loss for direction, Keena ask if she could be mentored and learn the Production Industry. Keena lives in Brooklyn, N.Y. with her family. All throughout her life she has had self-esteem issues. Now as an adult it has caused her to latch on easily to men in order to find herself in more trouble than she could have bargained for. If only her Grandma was alive to tell her what to do. These two women work diligently at building an Empire together. Even though there is a tremendous age gap between the two, they compliment each other skills and talents. It is not to say that major problems did not occur along the way…suicidal thoughts, tears, withdrawal, social isolation, fear, anxieties, panic attacks, and so much more. Relationships may come and go but taking care of Business is here to stay.

Loretta M. White served this country for 10 years in the United States Army. After the army, she was still determinted to continue being of service to her community by launching her own production company where she mentored youth.
