Doing the right thing with the wrong People

I was doing the right thing, but I was with the wrong people. Those thoughts ran through my mind as I stood there in the meeting room with my two new business partners. We had just closed a business deal with one of the most prominent health and beauty lines in the world, and just that quick we were millionaires.

It was just four years ago that I sat in the library with two old business partners having disagreements and scratching my head trying to figure out why it was taking us so long to get this health product together. One of my partners was always confronting me with her issue of me being too driven, as if it was a disease.

Often I would leave our meetings bent out of shape and angry because it seemed like nothing was getting done. I remember one day  being so frustrated that I fell to my knees and asked God to help me to understand why these things were happening. I waited and waited to hear from the Lord but He never said a word. Feeling like God must have forgotten about me, I got off my knees and tended to my daily chores around the house.

One day I was  mopping my kitchen floor when the phone rang. It was my long time friend Savanna. Savanna seemed to be upset but like always bubbly. She began to talk about how she loved her job as an LPN, but she wanted more in her life. She went on to say that God has given us the power to get wealth.

For a minute there I thought it was me speaking. She was saying words that I had been thinking all along and she was totally driven like me. It took not even an hour for her and I to agree to start our own health and beauty line. By the next day we had added her daughter to the business. We worked diligently to put our business together. And our ideas was as if God planted the same seed in each of our brains. In less than two months we were selling our products through our website, and other social medias. We were accumulating money as fast as we could breathe.

While handing out  business cards one day I met Mrs. Bruington, owner of one of the biggest health and beauty lines in the world. It only took one phone call from her and we were in New York signing our multi-million dollar licensing deal. Sometimes in life we dream of doing things with  people who we’ve known for a long time, but they may not have the same drive and ambition like us.

You may be doing the right thing but with the wrong people. God has a way of shaking the foundations of  your plans so that He can place you with the plans that He has for you. He knows how to bring the right people into your life. When disagreements come and the crumbling of a plan takes place, don’t allow your vision to be shaken. Know that your Heavenly Father is telling you that you’re doing the right thing but you’re with the wrong people.
