About Us

Sistah’s Place Magazine celebrated 5 years in August 2018. Who would have imagined what started as an online blog would grow over the years to the dream of a Digital and Print magazine. We started this platform to focus on Indie artists in film, television, theater, music, and literary world.

Letrise Carter saw the need to shine the light on some hard working women and men going after their dreams. She fell in love with the Indie industry and wanted to give them the opportunity to be in the spotlight.

In May 2018, Sistah’s Place launch the long awaited digital and print magazine creating visibility and exposure across two major platforms in digital and print with Issuu Publications and MagCloud The talented men, women, and youth in literary, music, film television, theater, and small business owners.

Our magazine has focused on recognizing the indie artists in the various industries giving them a platform to showcase their gifts, talents, and passion. To shine their light in the community.
