Tell us about who the author Terri Johnson is?

Terri Ann Johnson is a national best-selling author for her contributions to the anthologies Spice and All I Want for Christmas. She is the winner of the 2019 Emma Award for the Best Inspirational Romance for her debut novel Faith Alone, which has also been optioned for a movie. Her stories focus on faith, forgiveness, love, and romance while navigating the storms of life.  I have always loved reading which turned into a desire to write.  I am a native of Washington, DC, where I reside with my son.

Terri, what was it that made you write your first book?

I’ve always been an avid reader which turned into a desire to write. I took a journalism class in college. I started writing, in journals, over ten years ago. I was motivated to submit a short story for a Christmas anthology in 2016 and I was selected as one of nineteen authors for the Christmas anthology, All I Want for Christmas. My first full novel was published in 2018, Faith Alone.

What inspired your book title?

After writing the story, Faith Alone was the title that resonated the most and tells the story.

Without giving too much away, tell us what your story is about?

Faith Alone is based in DC and it’s the story of 42-year-old Lachelle Jackson who’s living her best life. She’s in a happy marriage and loves her job, but then discovers that she’s facing a life-threatening pregnancy. In the midst of that. . . a strategy occurs. In Faith Alone we watch Lachelle lean on her faith while navigating life’s storms.

Is there a message you like readers to take away after reading Faith Alone?

With faith anything is possible. Storms and trials are an inevitable part of life but keep moving don’t let them shake your faith.

What can we expect from you next?

The follow-up to Faith Alone is Switched. The main characters discover a baby switching scheme and it may be possible that their child, whom they thought had died, is actually alive. What will they uncover in the search for their son?
