I had the pleasure to talk with Director Kimberly D. Connor about her new movie Before I Do which will be released April 30, 2016 in theaters. She is an independent filmmaker who has written several screenplays, a self-published author, and business owner. Kimberly started her own production company called Predestined Arts & Entertainment in 2005. In our interview, she shares with us the storyline for Before I Do, the inspiration in the title, who she would love to work with in the film industry, the message within the story, and she discuss the stages of film. Before I Do has a talented cast line up starring Jensen Atwood, Omar Gooding, Thea Camara, Harold Dennis, and Andrea Kelly just to name a few actors/actresses in this film.
Take a listen to our interview and watch a trailer from the movie that will be coming to the theaters April 30th:
It’s always breathe taking to watch movies written and directed by women in a film industry that is predominantly run by men. However, women like Kimberly D. Connor are making their mark in Indie Films and pushing through the barriers to bring great stories to the big screen. We are looking forward to more movies by this talented sister. If you have not seen her films, visit her website to learn more about her and one of my favorites Jump In and I am looking forward to seeing the new movie Before I Do. Watch the movie trailer below.
