Natural coils fall down to her chest
Beautiful full lips that scream out to be kissed next
Does that remind you of anyone?
Perhaps the crazy one
Why is it that black women are always the angry ones?
Why is it that black women are always the promiscuous ones?
Why is it that black women are always perceived as the uneducated ones?
Confused by words?
Take a look at your television station
Diary of a mad black woman
Scandal is the obsession of the entire nation
Why is that a black woman is always being beaten upon?
Why is that a black woman is always in court fighting with her fathers child?
Confused by my words?
Watch the popular YouTube videos for a little while
Why is it that black women are so blinded to their true potential?
Why is that black women enjoy being disrespected and walked upon?
Why is it that black women refuse to be a rare commodity ?
Why is that a black woman is content being praised for the curves of her body than the dynamics of her mental abilities?
Why is it that black women are ashamed of the beauty of their dark skin?
Why is it that black women will be offended by words than be encouraged to change by my words?

My name is Saccheen Laing and I’m from the beautiful island of Jamaica. I’ve been writing from a very young age and spend most of time lost in poetry. Writing isn’t a hobby for me writing is who I am it’s what keeps me going.
