It was a pleasure to speak with two talented actors for the television series The Heart in it’s second season premier March 12th with Ericka Symone’ Lee and Mark Vincent. The two talented actors talk about the characters they portray in the series, their attraction to the role, inspirations that brought them into acting, and advice to aspiring actor or actress.
Ericka Symone’ Lee is playing the lead role of Ashley Harrison in season 2 of The Heart. Ashley Harrison is the sister to J.D. Harrison who is the prospective Attorney General. She describe her character as fiesty, compassionate, and driven woman. Ericka was attracted to her character of Ashley because they are alike in many ways and she was able to relate to the character. She has always loved acting thanks to her elementary school teacher Mrs. Jackson with the production of Lady Bug. Ericka has always wanted to be an actress and she got her big break with The Heart. She will be playing in film based on a Shyla Miles novel title Broken Promises. We are looking forward to seeing more from this talented woman in film and television.
Mark Vincent is playing the role of James Brooks who is the campaign manager for J.D. Harrison in The Heart. He describes his character as career driven and focused on taking JD’s political career to the next level. Mark has played James Brooks since season one of the television show. He was attracted to the character of James Brooks because the character is a protector and loyal to the people in his life is relatable to who he is as a man. His inspiration for acting came in 2009 from his younger brother who is in acting. You can see Mark in the Capital One Venture Rewards commerical and he is working other projects. We are looking forward to seeing more from this talented man in film and television.
