I had the pleasure of attending the screening of Man In 3B at Englewood Film Festival on Friday, October 23, 2015. The film festival is founded by director Mark Harris who is the CEO Englewood Film Festival, Black Films Rock, and 1555 Filmworks.
The movie is based on Carl Weber’s best-selling novel Man In 3B. Have you read it? The movie centers around Darryl Graham played by Lamman Rucker, who moves into 3B and all eyes are on him. The movie is filled with drama, love, and mystery. The story has a twist at the end that will have you shocked.
It was a very nice event with co-stars from the film Brely Evans who plays Connie Mack and Christian Keyes who plays Slim a bad boy, and Trey Haley the director answered questions from the audience after the screening of the movie.
Supporting black films is important because there are many independent films that “Hollywood” does not support or produce. We can support the dreams of many of talented men and women whether it’s acting, writing, producing, or directing. These movies are made with a vision to not just entertain but to inspire, encourage, and show positive roles of black men and women in film.
Be sure to go out and support this movie on November 6th. Visit the website for more information on the cast and film can be found at http://themanin3b.com/
