Free your mind -by Jeanee Patton

Mind

Free your mind and the rest will follow! Do you believe that your thoughts can become your reality? I sure do. I believe that your subconscious can fully sway your actions whether positive or negative. This is why it is so important to protect what goes inside your brain.

The law of attraction believes when you focus on positive or negative thoughts, you can bring positive or negative experiences into your life. Give that a second to sink in. Could your thoughts actually be the cause of some of your happiness as well as some of your misery?

If we dive deeper into this concept, we might find there is some truth. Are you actually taking the time to focus on more positive thoughts throughout your day? Even if negative things happen to you, is it possible to learn from them? Every opportunity including negative ones is a learning opportunity.

Recently a friend told me to have a good day. My response was I plan to have a good day regardless of what anyone else’s plans were for me. By stating that to my friend, I was simply saying no negative thoughts or actions would control my thoughts or actions.

Here are a few ways to help keep you positive and motivated throughout the day:

• Smile in the mirror as you say a positive affirmation out loud
• Believe in yourself
• Learn from past mistakes and forgive yourself
• Avoid negative people
• Speak with authority and know you are fearfully and wonderfully made
• Keep a journal of accomplishments and successes

Remember what consumes your mind has the ability to control your life. Don’t create your own storm and get mad when it rains. Choose to be happy and optimistic about your life. No storm lasts forever and neither will yours.  Will you choose to free your mind?
