Greetings, I’m Dr. Barbara Evans, a Psychotherapist with a thriving private practice in Naperville, Illinois. It is my privilege to work with and support individuals, couples, and families as they take steps to explore personal issues and begin the arduous task of transforming their lives.
I hold a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology, Education & Supervision as well as being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
With over 20 years of experience in the counseling field, I have provided services to those suffering from Mental Health Disorders, Grief & Loss, Low Self-Esteem, Women’s Issues, Trust & Infidelity Issues and Career & Transition Dilemmas. I specialize in Women’s Emotional Health & Empowerment.
For years, people have avoided seeking therapy due to the stigma attached to mental health issues. However, this is 2019 and I believe that when it comes to your mental and emotional health gone are the days in which you have to suffer in silence. It has always been important to me to help people find their voice, to tap into their inner power and stand in their true identity so that they can live their best life in the most authentic way possible.
I have been most successful with practicing the concept of Change your Mindset, Change your Life! When you change the way you think this can change your entire life opening up a whole new world for you. Through hard work and the retraining of your mind, a person can Reclaim their Life, they can Own Their Future!
I enjoy traveling, laughing, love of family and making time to enhance my self-development. For me, these things are essential for a balanced life and are all a part of my personal journey toward wellness…Mind, Body & Soul.
